Kasaragod: Opposition leader VD Satheesan has raised sharp criticism against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for his silence over the K-Rail project. He alleged that the CM is not ready to respond to the questions raised by Congress on the project. Taking a dig at Pinarayi Vijayan, Satheesan added that he is trying to spread communalism in the state instead of responding to the questions.

“The pamphlet distributed by CPM alleges that UDF is trying to destroy K-Rail by joining hands with BJP and Jamaat-e-Islami. UDF staged a protest against K-Rail based on a study report. We never made an alliance with any party in the protest. The CM is raising such allegations of communalism as he has no words to say in response to our questions on K-Rail,” said VD Satheesan.

“ The representative of the company which carried out the survey for K-Rail project also revealed that the survey report was manipulated. The government is mocking the High Court which restricted the installation of survey stones under the K-Rail project,” he added.

The opposition leader declared that his party will not allow the government to implement the K-Rail project without responding to the questions.

“If CM is adamant to implement K-Rail, we want to say that we will not let him do so,” he added.
