Malappuram: Metroman E Sreedharan has voiced his disapproval against Kerala’s ambitious SilverLine Project. He pointed out that the semi high-speed rail project will not benefit the state.
“I would have supported the project if it is a good one. There are numerous flaws in the project’s plan,” he added.
At the same time, he alleged that the state government directed the officials not to allow him to intervene in the project.
“K-Rail won’t be able to complete the project within the mentioned period. A re-planning is necessary to execute the project. SilverLine is completely anti-environmental in nature. K-Rail didn’t carry out an environmental and technical study on it,” criticised Sreedharan.
“The SilverLine will turn like a China wall across Kerala dividing the state into two,” opined the Metroman.
