Thiruvananthapuram: Giving more pressure to KSRTC, the INTUC affiliated Transport Democratic Federation (TDF) has called for an indefinite strike demanding salary revision. The leaders of the trade union have informed that the date of the strike will be announced soon.
A week ago, various trade unions jointly observed a strike demanding salary revision. But so far, the government has n't assure salary revision, pointed out TDF.
The trade unions jointly organised a token stir last week. We are forced to call for the indefinite strike as the assurances are not kept, TDF asserted their stance.
They also alleged that KSRTC staff has not received the salary of last month till date.
TDF leaders declared that they will start an indefinite hunger strike in front of the KSRTC chief office from November 15.
TDF is planning to seek the support of other trade unions in the stir.
