Thiruvananthapuram: Minister for education V Sivankutty has informed that the LDF government will ensure plus one seats for all students who want to continue studies. Schools that need more seats will be permitted to start a new batch by November 23, he added.
The minister has issued the statement amidst the growing concern over plus one admission. He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of the renovated auditorium at Thycaud Govt. Model Boys Higher Secondary School here on Saturday.
V Sivankutty assured that there is no need to worry about plus one admission.
He also expressed happiness over the reopening of schools amid the pandemic.
“ The public was anxious about the reopening of schools. The government has successfully put an end to all concerns by providing classes as per plan. Over 80 per cent of students reached the schools in different days,” informed the minister.
The government has been implementing projects to improve the basic infrastructure of the schools.
Along with the facilities, efforts are being taken to improve the academic standards. For this purpose, we have been implementing the recommendations of the Khader committee report step by step,” added the minister.
