Police register case against KSRTC driver for riding bus through flooded road

Kottayam: Erattupetta police booked KSRTC driver Jayadeep Sebastian for riding the bus through a flooded road and incurring a loss of Rs 5,33,000 to KSRTC. The FIR stated that Jayadeep rode the bus onto the flooded road with an intention to create damages to the bus.

Earlier, KSRTC suspended Jayadeep for putting the lives of passengers at risk by riding the bus through the flooded road. The action was taken as directed by transport minister Antony Raju. But, Jayadeep mocked at the suspension through his social media post.

Meanwhile, the Motor Vehicle Department has initiated action to cancel Jaydeep’s driving licence. As part of this, MVD sought an explanation from him.
