Kochi: Kerala High Court on Saturday asked the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) to fill the potholes immediately in the wake of a man's death in Kochi.

Hashim, a Paravoor native, died after his scooter lost balance while driving over a pothole in a road on Friday night. He was run over by a lorry upon falling from his scooter on the national highway near Angamaly-Edapally road.

Based on the findings of Amicus Curiae, the high court asked NHAI to immediately fix potholes in the roads.

NHAI told Justice Devan Ramachandran that repair works have already started.
