Thiruvananthapuram: Police have registered an FIR against advocate Saiby Jose Kidangoor in connection with allegations that he accepted large sums of money from various clients on the pretext of paying bribes to Kerala High Court judges for favourable verdicts.

Section 7(1) of the Prevention of Corruption Act and Section 430 of the IPC (cheating) are the sections invoked against him. The case will be probed by Special Investigation Team (SIT). The state police chief has already issued an order regarding the same. ADGP (Crime Branch) Shaik Darvesh Saheb will supervise the probe directly.

Meanwhile, Saiby continues to refute allegations. He attributed personal grudge and cited conspiracy for the allegations.
