Kerala Guv, CM share friendly gesture during swearing-in ceremony

Thiruvananthapuram: The ongoing tussle between Kerala Governor and the LDF government has eased following Arif Mohammed Khan's friendly gesture towards CM Pinarayi Vijayan during the swearing-in ceremony of Saji Cheriyan on Wednesday. In a brief talk with Vijayan during the event, Khan remarked that he would deliver a couple of "toffees" from his trip to Kashmir to the CM's residence.

Khan's approval to conduct swearing-in ceremony to bring Saji Cheriyan back to the state cabinet was welcomed by the LDF government. Further, the state government also dropped the plan to skip the Governor's policy address in the budget session.

Last week, Pinarayi Vijayan held a phone conversation with Khan over the swearing-in ceremony. Following this, the state cabinet decided to inform Raj Bhavan that the 7th assembly session of the 15th Kerala Legislative Assembly has concluded on December 13. As a result, the first assembly session of the New Year can start with Governor's policy address.
