Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government is aiming to start door-to-door service from the treasury for pension mustering. The treasury officers will arrive at the houses of those above the age of 80 and with no other means to come to the office and carry out pension mustering.

This will be of great relief for bedridden people and those ailing from illness. The scheme was announced by Finance Minister K N Balagopal in this year’s budget presentation. The instruction is to implement this at the earliest.

It is believed that there are nearly 20,000 whose pension has been stopped due to improper mustering of pension.
