Thiruvananthapuram: Lulu Group Chairman M A Yusuff Ali announced that he will donate Rs 5 crore to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund, to help the victims of flood havoc.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had appealed to the public to make generous donations to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund.
The Chief Minister had also requested expatriates to contribute to the relief fund.
Meanwhile, Leader of the Opposition Ramesh Chennithala donated one month’s salary to the relief fund.
Donations made are exempted from taxes.
