Thiruvananthapuram: The review meeting headed by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday evening will decide on the recommendations of the expert committee about continuing the Covid-19 regulations in the state.
The committee was asked to review the regulations as they showed no respite in the Covid-19 numbers.
The meeting will consider changing the ‘TPR method’ to cluster wise regulations based on the number of patients. Currently, restrictions are based on the test positivity rate. Many criticised that this method is unscientific as the number of tests remains low.
Transmission of the virus within the families are high. Therefore, chances of forming more local clusters are high.
Revising the treatment method and providing more relaxation without violating the Supreme Court order is under consideration. However, restrictions on programmes in which crowds are expected will continue.
