Thiruvananthapuram: The Congress state leadership claimed that two senior leaders of the party are trying to inhibit the activities of the party. There is an allegation that certain sources are leaking out information to the media about the matters inside the party. It is also hinted that the leadership and the factions are heading towards open war.
The state leadership will approach the High Command with the complaint. The senior leaders were also about to approach the High Command regarding the working of the state leadership.
The state leadership alleged that the factions are giving out wrong information to the media. They said that some are enlarging the matters at hand and dousing the spirits of party followers and that this is affecting the working of the state leadership. It is hinted that these points will be highlighted in the complaint.
The 'A' and 'I' groups had displayed strong protest over the absence of Oommen Chandy and Ramesh Chennithala in the UDF meeting convened the other day. This has led to an open revolt between the state leadership and the group leaders.
