Kerala Congress (Jacob) splits; Johnny Nellore group to merge with P. J. Joseph faction

Party vice president George Joseph presented a resolution in this regard at a meeting summoned by the Johnny Nellore group.

Kottayam: Kerala Congress (Jacob) group has split. Johnny Nellore group will merge into the P. J. Joseph faction of Kerala Congress (Mani). Anoop Jacob faction will continue as the Jacob group.

Party vice president George Joseph presented a resolution in this regard at a meeting summoned by the Johnny Nellore group. The resolution also gave Johnny Nellore the responsibility of holding follow up discussions with Joseph group. The meeting approved the resolution against the opposition of Anoop Jacob group.

The Johnny Nellur group is planning to conduct the merger meeting at Ernakulam on February 29. P. J. Joseph also clarified that the merger meeting will take place as scheduled.

Meanwhile, a meeting summoned by Anoop Jacob is taking place at Kottayam against the merger. Anoop Jacob is trying to show his strength in the party by ensuring maximum support and participation of leaders.
