Kerala confirms 5 COVID deaths on Saturday
Palakkad: One more COVID death was reported in the state on Saturday. Vaniyamkulam native Sindhu (34), who was undergoing treatment at Palakkad district hospital, succumbed to the disease on Saturday morning. Sindhu was a cancer patient and had to undergone treatments including chemotherapy.
She was being treated for cancer at Kozhikode medical college hospital for a long time. Later, she moved her treatment to Palakkad. She tested positive for the virus on Friday. However, the source from where she contracted the virus has not been identified yet. None of her family members have tested positive.
Earlier the day, 4 COVID deaths were reported in the state. Pattambi native Koran (80), Malappuram native Koyamu (80) and senior socialist leader, Alunkal Devassy and Thodupuzha Special Branch SI, Ajithan (51) were confirmed to have died of COVID-19.
