Kerala coasts on high alert after threats of terror attack
Kodungallur: Police and Intelligence officials in the state are on high alert in the state in the wake of possibile terror attacks. An IB report has hinted at the possibility of intrusion of terrorists through the coastal areas after travelling by sea. An urgent message has been passed on to all coastal police stations and fisheries offices by the Ernakulam zone fisheries deputy director.
According to the report, terrorists might enter the country by submarines in sea. Fishermen venturing into the sea in boats have been asked to remain alert.
If any suspicious materials or persons are seen by fishermen, it should be alerted urgently along with its GPS area to the concerned authorities, said the circular issued by fisheries deputy director.
