Kerala CM visits PM Modi
New Delhi: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan visited Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Saturday. The 15 minutes long meeting commenced at 10 am.
In the meeting, Pinarayi Vijayan discussed various subjects including privatisation of Thiruvananthapuram airport. Minister G Sudhakaran also attended the meeting.
Earlier, the state government had informed their protest on transferring the administration rights of the airport to Adani group. This protest was informed to the prime minister with related documents. The state government requested the Prime Minister to let the airport remain in public sector itself.
At the same time, the Kerala government also informed the Centre on their dissatisfaction over the relief fund allotted for post-flood rehabilitation. Kerala has submitted a memorandum seeking essential fund to rebuild post-flood Kerala.
Kerala government’s anxiety over national highway development was also discussed with the prime minister. Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan and minister G Sudhakaran will visit union minister for transport Nitin Gadkari on Saturday at 12 pm.
