Palakkad: To avoid confronting protestors brandishing black flags at Kerala Chief Minister’s convoy, the state government has opted for a helicopter service to take CM Pinarayi Vijayan from Kochi to Palakkad. The authorities have decided to avoid roads for CM's journey since the police force have been assigned for 'Sivarathri' duties at Aluva Manappuram.

Meanwhile, youth congress leaders were detained in police custody in Thrithala in the wake of CM's visit. AK Shanib, youth congress state secretary, was arrested from his house on Saturday morning.

In a Facebook video, Shanib alleged that Youth Congress leaders are forced to stay away from their houses due to CM's visit to Thrithala.
