Kerala can vaccinate 1 cr people per month: CM
Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has informed that Kerala can administer the COVID vaccine to 1 cr people per month. He pointed out that 4 lakh people were vaccinated in the state on Thursday.
“The state will be able to vaccinate 1 cr people in a month. That means, 25 lakh dose vaccines will be given in a week. Pointing out this, the government will approach the centre for more vaccine doses,” said CM in the COVID review meeting held here on Friday.
Based on the formation of COVID clusters, micro-containment zones will be identified and restrictions will be strengthened. The tourism sector should not be affected by the restrictions. We must take a stance to strengthen domestic tourism. Unnecessary intervention in hotels that operates for tourism must be avoided. Facilities should be established to vaccinate fishermen, added CM.
