Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala cabinet on Wednesday expressed their displeasure over the comments of B Ashok, Secretary of Agriculture Department, in the draft bill for replacing the chancellor of state universities.
In the cabinet meeting, it was suggested that the employees should refrain from making unnecessary remarks.
Earlier, B Ashok had commented that the draft bill doesn't explain the reasons for removing the governor as Chancellor. He made the one-and-a-half page comment in the file and recommended changes to the bill.
Ashok's statements were against the policies of the LDF government on the matter, the cabinet noted.
Former KSEB chairman was transferred to the agriculture department while the board administration was facing strong opposition from the employee unions.
