Finance Minister presents Kerala Budget 2022

Thiruvananthapuram: Finance Minister KN Balagopal announced that Rs 50 crore will be allocated for the ‘Work Near Home’ project to ensure job opportunities for homemakers. While presenting the Kerala Budget 2022-23, the minister asserted that educated women will get employment opportunities with this project.

Minister noted that the work from home mode of employment may continue even after post-Covid times on a large scale in the state. We have to explore the possibilities of working for companies all over the world by forming clusters in small towns as well as rural regions, added the minister.

The project ‘Work Near Home’ will also obtain well acceptance if employment centres with IT-based facilities were formed in different parts of the state.
