Kerala BJP removes Sandeep Warrier as spokesperson

Kottayam: BJP leader Sandeep Warrier has been removed as its spokesperson in Kerala, confirmed party chief K Surendran here on Monday. He was talking to the media after the core committee meeting.

However, he refrained from elaborating it further stating it is an internal matter and required no public explanation. No reason was given to the media regarding his removal.

There are multiple allegations, including on fund management, and complaints against Sandeep. Recently, a photo of Shaj Kiran, the alleged middleman who claimed to have relation with Swapna Suresh- the accused in the diplomatic baggage gold smuggling case, with Sandeep had surfaced. It had put BJP in defence when the party was leading widespread agitation demanding resignation of the chief minister. The photo was taken at the house of V Sunil Kumar, the energy minister of Karnataka. Shaj had shared it on his Facebook profile.
