Thiruvananthapuram: Amid the ongoing probe against Monson Mavunkal, Opposition Leader, V D Satheesan, has said in the assembly that investigation should also be conducted on the persons who filed complaints against him.

He pointed out that the source of money that the complainants given to Monson should also be probed. The Opposition leader raised these demands to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who is also the home minister of the state. Satheesan has made this remarks after minister P Rajeev alleged that Monson had received money in the presence of KPCC president K Sudhakaran.

He has also defended Sudhakaran who is being targeted over alleged links with Monson. According to Satheesan, many approached Monson by mistaking him as a genuine cosmologist. He cited the name of cine actor Sreenivasan and asked would any celebrity visit him if knowing him a quack.

Satheesan also said that fraudsters pose for photo with celebrities, film stars and politicians. He added that such photos may emerge if the fraudster is exposed and that does not mean that the person or crime is associated to celebrity, film star or politician.
