Thiruvananthapuram: The basic salary and allowances of the Kerala Administrative Service (KAS) officials (Junior Times Scale) have been fixed. The basic salary is at Rs 81,800.
Apart from that permitted Dearness Allowance (DA) and house rent allowance (HRA), 10 percent grade pay will be allowed. Basic salary of Rs 81,800 will be allowed as a consolidated amount during the training period.
Meanwhile, officials entering KAS from any other service will be provided with their last drawn salary during the relieving time or Rs 81,800 or whichever is higher.
The employees will be given a one-year pre-service training and a six-month training before completing probation after entering service. The first phase of training will be through IMG.
Notably, KAS officials come under the pay scale between undersecretary and higher-grade officials.
