Nandana S Pillai
Kozhikode: Being the second rank holder in the stream-one of Kerala Administrative Service (KAS), Nandana S Pillai rejoices well in the success.
"I only wanted to get on the list. Being a highly competitive exam, I did not expect a rank and I am still unable to believe that I came second in it," Nandana told Mathrubhumi.com.
"From 2017 onwards, I have been attempting civil service and I couldn't get through. It was in the meantime, I started preparing for KAS. With the blessings of God, I could study well and answer questions well. I had practised answering previous year questions," added Nandana.
She said her parents supported her well and they always prodded her up. "My parents are even happier and they inspired me a lot." Her father Murukan is a retired officer of Canara Bank and her mother Sasikala is a retired government employee. She has a brother and sister, both working in SBI.
"I have no special interest in any sector as a bureaucrat is supposed to work sincerely, irrespective of the sector in which he or she works. However, I prefer working in sectors associated with women, children and education," concluded Nandana.
