K Sudhakaran-Shashi Tharoor interacting with Kerala CM
Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC president K Sudhakaran has given a warning to MP Shashi Tharoor for supporting the K-Rail project contradicting the party’s stance. Sudhakaran declared that if Shashi Tharoor is not loyal to the party, he will be ousted.
“The party leadership has sought a written explanation from Tharoor over his stance on the K-Rail project. If the party takes a decision, all MPs are bound to accept it. I don’t think Tharoor has a hidden agenda behind his stance or he is no longer loyal to the party,” said Sudhakaran.
The KPCC chief also responded to the allegations against the party over rejecting Idukki seat to late MLA PT Thomas.
“The party didn’t ignore PT Thomas intentionally. Idukki seat was not allotted to him considering the fact that chance of victory was low. Nowadays, no political party can survive without considering the allies,” he added.
At the same time, he also announced that the party didn’t take an official stance on raising the legal marriage age of women. He added that there are advantages and disadvantages in raising women’s age for marriage from 18 to 21 years.
