Thiruvananthapuram: Transport minister Antony Raju will discuss the bus charge hike with Justice Ramachandran Nair Fare Revision Committee. The meeting is scheduled at 4 pm on December 9 at the Thycaud Govt Guest House. The minister will also meet the students' leaders to discuss the demand for increasing the concession rates.

The decision to revise the fare was taken at the meeting with bus operators. The bus owners had called for an indefinite strike seeking a fare hike due to skyrocketing diesel prices and lockdown-induced financial strains. It was postponed due to the assurance of the minister that a logical increment will be provided.
