Journalist's alleged link with tree felling case: CM says he won't get any immunity from probe

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has claimed that he has no idea about the allegations against photojournalist Deepak Dharmadom over the tree felling case.

Recently, the journalist shared a photo with the CM which clicked during the Onam celebrations.

“If he is involved in the tree felling case, he will not get any immunity from the probe over the name of taking a photo with me. Strict action will be taken against him if the investigation team confirms his involvement. But he would not be framed in a false case,” asserted the CM.

It is true that he visited me on that day. As a group of people was taking photos with me, he also requested me to take a photo with him, explained the CM.

Deepak Dharmadom has shared a photo with the CM through his social media pages on the eve of Onam. The photo triggered a controversy after allegations were raised against him over his involvement in the controversial tree felling case.
