Thiruvananthapuram: CV Ananda Bose, who was assigned to study the issues in Kerala BJP and submit a report to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, recommended for a change in the leadership of the party. It is hinted that he forwarded some recommendations to replace K Surendran from the post of BJP state president.
Many BJP leaders and activists filed complaints against Surendran with Ananda Bose directly and via mail. Meanwhile, it is learned that many leaders demanded a revamp in the leadership irrespective of groups.
In the report submitted to the Prime Minister, Anada Bose explained about BJP’s pathetic fallout in the assembly polls, its reasons, solutions and financial allegations. He also forwarded some recommendations regarding the state committee under the leadership of Surendran.
Ananda Bose also held talks with the state leaders and local leaders over the leadership change. Opinion was sought from ordinary BJP activists, drivers of leaders and members at various levels. Anada Bose examined the opinions which favoured and opposed Surendran’s leadership.
Talking to Mathrubhumi News, Ananda Bose revealed that he submitted the report to the Prime Minister after examining all opinions. He added that he can't disclose further details about the report as the PM is yet to examine it.
It is examined that Ananda Bose’s report will be crucial for K Surendran’s future in BJP. In the report, Anada Bose also explained the groupism in Kerala BJP. BJP members including state committee members had sent an e-mail to Ananda Bose and BJP national president JP Nadda demanding leadership change and complaining about the poll debacle.
Major leaders apart from groups like the Krishnadas faction and Sobha Surendran faction demanded a change in the state leadership, a senior state leader told Mathrubhumi News.
