Thiruvananthapuram: Mullappally Ramachandran has granted approval to give salary hike to staff in Indira Bhavan, the headquarters of KPCC before vacating the post of KPCC president. Salary of the staff will be increased by Rs 1000.
Earlier, he rewarded Rs 2000 to the staff who worked amid COVID crisis.
KPCC has not sought working fund from AICC during Mullappally’s reign. Fund collected through his Kerala tour was used for party activities. He was also successful in saving a good sum.
Mullappally was prepared to vacate his post expecting announcement of the new KPCC chief. When the High Command elected K Sudhakaran, Mullappally welcomed the decision and extended congratulations to the new KPCC chief over phone.
During the telephone conversation, K Sudhakaran told Mullapaplly that he will discuss with him about assuming the new office on Wednesday at the KPCC office.
Mullappally left the office of KPCC president after paying respects to Mahatma Gandhi’s statue. He also handed over the official vehicle to the party and returned home in his own ambassador car.
