MB Rajesh’s journey from CPM’s spokesperson in TV shows to speaker’s post

Thiruvananthapuram: MB Rajesh was a young leader who represented left in the parliament. He was the best parliamentarian. He was the face of CPM’s defence in TV channel shows. Now, he will be the impartial face in Kerala Legislative Assembly.

As the new assembly speaker, Rajesh who was the best debater, will control the discussions in the assembly.

Interestingly, one of the popular young faces of LDF has been inducted into the most respected post in the assembly. MB Rajesh is a newcomer in Kerala legislative assembly. Selecting a newcomer to the post of the speaker is very rare in the assembly.

Rajesh has been inducted to the post with his experience as a parliamentarian. Rajesh won the assembly elections from Thrithala seat after defeating UDF candidate VT Balram.

He was born to retired Hawildar Balakrishnan from Shoranur and Ramani from Karalmanna on March 12, 1971 in Punjab. He obtained post-graduation in Economics from Ottapalam NSS College and graduation in law from Thiruvananthapuram Law Academy.

Rajesh also served as SFI Palakkad district secretary, state secretary and All India joint secretary.

He also worked in petroleum and natural gas, science and technology, national shipping board committee of petitioning.

He also served as DYFI national president.

At present, he is a CPM state committee member.

His family includes his wife Ninitha (lecturer at Kalady University) and two daughters Niranjana and Priyadutta. Rajesh and his family are settled at Karingarapully AKG Nagar colony in Palakkad.
