Thiruvananthapuram: KK Shailaja, the former health minister of Kerala has welcomed the party’s decision to bring new faces to the cabinet by excluding her. She was addressing the media here on Tuesday after the party confirmed that Shailaja will not be in the new cabinet.
“The party appointed me as minister. As a minister, I’m satisfied with completing my duties. I have fulfilled maximum responsibilities,” said Shailaja.
At the same time, she expressed best wishes for the new cabinet.
“The new team will be a very good one. I hope they will be able to ensure the best governance in the state,” she responded.
“COVID preventive measures will not be affected with my exit from the cabinet. It depends on a system, not on a single person. When I was in charge of the health department, I handled it. Apart from me, a big team led by Chief Minister handled the COVID prevention in the state,” she added.
KK Shailaja also expressed gratitude to the media for supporting her and requested them to support the new cabinet too.
