New Delhi: Union minister V Muraleedharan condemned attack on NSS. He alleged that CPM and its allies have been attacking NSS while celebrating victory in the polls.
“We won’t allow attacks targeting NSS general secretary Sukumaran Nair. He is being attacked representing the devotees in the Sabarimala issue. In India, every citizen including Sukumaran Nair has the freedom and right to declare his political stance. CPM is trying to frame that raising a demand to protect the customs and beliefs of Hinduism is a grave mistake. The attack against NSS has revealed that Kadakampally and others issued a fake apology on Sabarimala issue,” alleged Muraleedharan.
“Everyone knows that LDF won the polls by creating a split among the communities. CPM is intoxicated over the victory which they won with the political and financial support of extreme Muslim and Jihadi groups,” criticised the union minister.
“Attack against Sukumaran Nair hints at the onset of CPM’s attack on Hindus and their customs,” he added.
“I know Congress will criticize me as a communalist over this statement. Congress should realise that they faced a poll debacle as some people within the party cheated them."
In the press statement, the minister appealed to Congress and CPM to stop using the Muslim community as a vote bank.
