Kozhikode: Muslim League leader MK Muneer has denounced Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan while commenting on LDF’s election campaign in the poll-bound state. Talking to Mathrubhumi News, Muneer alleged that Pinarayi Vijayan didn’t let any other leaders in his party to grow to become a prominent leader.

“Even VS Achuthanandan was controlled by the party. But at present, Pinarayi Vijayan dominates CPM. He is the party as well as the national committee,” criticised Muneer.

Responding to the pre-poll surveys, Muneer stated that we cannot depend on it to predict the election results.

“We cannot depend on surveys at any cost. Earlier, most of the surveys predicted Vajpayee will retain power, but Manmohan Singh won the polls. When I contested the polls, the survey results predicted I will lose the seat. Most of the surveys were carried out before the selection of candidates. So, there are no chances for getting accurate data with these surveys,” said Muneer.

Responding to Pinarayi Vijayan’s leadership in LDF’s election campaign, Muneer alleged that the Chief Minister never let any others take leadership in his party.

“He didn’t allow any other leaders to grow in his party. He is a dictator. His only interest is not to allow another leader to emerge as strong as himself. Actually, he wishes that Kerala would not have a CM after him. It is for the first time in the history of Kerala, a Chief Minister is overshadowing the party,” he slammed the CM.
