Thrissur: As the Kerala Assembly Polls are round the corner, Tuesday will be the last day to add names in the electoral list. The registration will close at 12 midnight on Tuesday.

It is learnt that a good percentage of people who turned 18 years have not included their name in the electoral roll in Thrissur.

Thrissur district collector S Shanavas appealed to all not to lose their chance for exercising the adult franchise.

As per the voters’ list published on January 20, 2021, only 30 percent people belonging to 18-19 age group have registered their names.

The authority informed that fresh voters and eligible people who returned from abroad should complete the registration for including their name in electoral list.

The registration should be completed on Tuesday itself through the following website: www.nvsp.in.

Those who turned 18 years on January 1, 2021 are directed to carry out the registration by clicking Registration for New Elector on the registration portal.

As the voters’ lists for local body polls and assembly polls are different, the voters should ensure that their names are on the list.

Applications received after March 9 will be considered after the election.

The date of the final electoral roll publication will be informed later.
