Wayanad: The dawn-to-dusk hartal called by UDF commenced in Wayanad district today. The hartal was called to protest against the draft notification which declared the area around the Wayanad wildlife sanctuary as Eco-Sensitive Zone.
The hartal which began at 6 am and will end by 6 pm.
Essential services like milk, newspaper and hospitals are exempted from the hartal.
