Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan hailed the contribution of KIIFB in renovating public schools. While inaugurating the renovation of 11 public schools, the CM criticized the attacks against KIIFB.
“Renovated schools will welcome students in the post-COVID period. KIIFB has played a major role in upgrading the infrastructure of the schools. We should not defame an agency like KIIFB which benefits the state,” said Chief Minister.
“Our public schools will be equipped with new academic facilities. KIIFB has helped the government to renovate the schools,” he added.
The CM also condemned the baseless allegations against KIIFB.
“We should be grateful to KIIFB which contributed to our state’s development. Our state will not develop with only the LDF government’s plans. Because the budget has many limitations. In such a situation, the government declared development projects worth Rs 50,000 cr under KIIFB. At present, we are implementing projects worth Rs 6000 crore,” added the CM.
Pinarayi Vijayan also expressed satisfaction over public schools for providing education with international standard to students from backward class.
He also pointed out the LDF government’s achievements carried out overcoming the challenges like Okhi cyclone, flood and COVID.
