MVD to take strict action against traffic rule violation from Feb 1 to 17

Thiruvananthapuram: As part of observing National Road Safety month, the Kerala Motor Vehicle Department will strengthen vehicle inspection across the state.

From February 1 to 6, the MVD officials will take strict action for not wearing helmet and seat belt.
A total crackdown on overspeeding vehicles will be initiated from February 10 to 13.

Inspections will be strengthened to crackdown traffic rule violations including drunken driving, using mobile phones while driving, illegal car parking, neglecting pedestrians on Zebra crossing and traffic signal violation from February 7 to 17.

Drivers who are booked for overspeeding and drunken driving will face action including driving license suspension.
