Thiruvananthapuram: A pro-CPM association of employees of the Secretariat released a notice condemning the customs department. In the notice, the association has raised a sharp criticism against customs assistant commissioner Lalu.

The association also alleged that customs officials threatened assistant protocol officer Harikrishna Kumar during the interrogation. Last week, the customs questioned Harikrishna Kumar over the dollar smuggling case.

Following this, the pro-CPM association of secretariat staff moved against customs.

The notice also ridiculed the central government along with customs.

It also criticised that the central government is trying to bring Sangh Parivar politics in Kerala by using the customs department.

The notice indirectly criticises the Prime Minister and union home minister Amit Shah also.

While interrogating the assistant protocol officer Harikrishna Kumar, the customs has made remarks ridiculing the Kerala government. The customs officials also threatened Harikrishna Kumar to give a statement supporting these remarks, alleged the notice.

The notice also pointed out that the association will file a complaint with DGP against the customs.
