Kollam: The Nair Service Society has boycotted Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s district-level contact programme here on Tuesday. The taluk union of NSS decided to boycott the event alleging that the government did not consider their demands.
NSS Kollam taluk union president was invited for the event which was held as part of CM’s Kerala tour.
Taluk union asserted that they boycotted the event to mark their protest against the government’s negligence towards their demands.
NSS union also condemned that neither did the government implement reservation system for the forward community nor did it declare a public holiday on Mannam Jayanthi.
The Chief Minister launched his Kerala tour on Tuesday from Kollam following LDF’s victory in the LSG polls. CM will visit Pathanamthitta after the event in Kollam today.
