Thiruvananthapuram: Muslim League leader PK Kunhalikutty has condemned Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s statement on Muslim League’s intervention in deciding Congress leadership. Dismissing CM’s statement, Kunhalikutty asserted that they have no role in making a decision on Congress leadership.
“CM’s Facebook post is baseless. Muslim League did not intervene in any matter related to Congress. Congress leaders know how to solve their issues,” Kunhalikutty told Mathrubhumi News here on Sunday.
“Muslim League has performed well in the LSG polls. After CPM and Congress, Muslim League won majority votes. LDF leaders including CM are attacking Muslim League envying our victory,” slammed Kunhalikutty.
He also raised a sharp criticism against LDF and said the victory looks like winning a lottery.
“LDF is worried that they will lose votes in the assembly polls. UDF will make a strong comeback in the assembly polls. LDF is afraid of UDF allies including the Muslim League. Hence, they are trying to create disparity within UDF,” alleged the Muslim League leader.
Meanwhile, Kunhalikutty alleged that he holds evidence which proves LDF’s link with SDPI.
“LDF has been supporting SDPI and Welfare Party for a long time. It is for the first time, Welfare Party got separated from LDF to contest the polls. But SDPI is still continuing in LDF,” claimed Kunhalikutty.
