Kochi: The Enforcement Directorate has raised suspicion over all contracts under Life Mission. Out of the 36 projects, tenders of 26 were given to 2 companies. Before issuing tender for these projects, Sivasankar had handed over the confidential details to Swapna Suresh. ED informed the court that Swapna received crores by using these details.
In the report submitted before the court, ED has raised suspicion over a huge scam behind the Life Mission housing project.
ED has raised these allegations in the report which was submitted before the principal sessions court in Kochi when opposing the bail plea of M Sivasankar.
“Contracts of Life Mission project are suspicious. During the interrogation at the jail, Swapna Suresh confessed that M Sivasankar was also benefited with the bribery. Sivasankar allowed Swapna to intervene in many projects including Life Mission and K-FON. There is a big conspiracy behind the contracts,” reported ED.
ED also raised concern over an official who is obliged to be credible to the public becoming a cheater.
“Sivasankar knew about Life mission and K-FON projects. Swapna has mentioned the names of the people who are linked with Sivasankar,” said ED in the report, a copy of which was obtained by Mathrubhumi News.
ED has asserted that irregularities related to Life Mission project are not centred at the housing project alone.
It has also raised serious allegations against M Sivasankar while opposing his bail plea in the court.
