Know the truth behind toddler falling off jeep in Idukki

Thodupuzha: There is a twist relating to the incident which happened in September where a toddler had a miraculous escape after she fell off her sleeping mother’s lap from a moving jeep at Rajamala in Idukki.

An autorickshaw driver had rescued the child who had fallen from a running jeep on to the road at Rajamala in Idukki. Earlier, it was reported that forest department officials had saved the child. But CCTV visuals revealed that auto driver Kanakaraj saved the toddler from the road.

In a shocking revelation it is learnt that the forest officials were afraid to rescue the child as the place was believed to be a haunted one. The officials thought the baby who was crawling on the road with no dress and tonsured head is a ghost. Hence, they were afraid to approach the kid.

Noticing this, the auto driver handed over the child to the forest watchers. The CCTV visuals clearly showed Kanakaraj carrying the baby who was crawling on the road.

But earlier, the forest department released the video after trimming the portion which shows Kanakaraj. Some more visuals which came into light showed Kanakaraj carrying the baby. The investigation on the details of the third person who was along with the forest watchers revealed the truth behind the incident.
