Thiruvananthapuram: After the reinstatement of SI Shibu in the Kevin murder case sparked controversy, DGP Loknath Behera stated that he had no idea about the cop’s reinstatement. The DGP was addressing the media here on Wednesday.
He noted that he will address the media on the matter after consulting SP Vijay Sakhare.
On Wendesday, Kevin’s father told media that he will file a complaint with Chief Minister, DGP and opposition leader against SI Shibu’s reinstatement into service. He said the reinstatement of the police official is an injustice.
Earlier, police department had dismissed ASI Biju and blocked the allowances of some policemen for receiving bribe from Neenu’s relatives to settle the case. Amidst this, Kochi range IG Vijay Sakhare ordered to reinstate the suspended SI.
The top official issued the reinstatement order when the police department issued a dismissal notice to Shibu.
