Arrest warning: Rahul Easwar withdraws from Nilakkal


Pathanmthitta: Ayappa Dharma Sena president Rahul Easwar has withdrawn from Nilakkal after being cautioned that he will be arrested. He decided to withdraw after receiving the warning that Sangh Parivar leaders and others who camp in Sabarimala and premises will be arrested under preventive detention act.

Meanwhile, he stated that he will be back with other pilgrims within two days.

On Saturday morning, police arrested Hindu Aikya Vedi leader KP Sasikala from Marakkoottam. At the same time, there are reports that more leaders will be arrested soon.

Police asserted that leaders of various Hindu outfits were arrested as part of the security measures in the pilgrimage season after examining the violent protests in the shrine.

Hindu Aikya Vedi has called a state-wide hartal on Saturday following the arrest of leaders including Sasikala.
