Thiruvananthapuram: Veteran CPM leader VS Achuthanandan criticised BJP national president Amit Shah on BJP's stand in the Sabarimala issue. He condemned that Amit Shah is trying to get applause making remarks on religion.
He noted that BJ has adopted a double standard on Sabarimala issue.
“BJP leaders will support the Supreme Court verdict of allowing entry to women of all ages into the temple when they are in north India. But when they arrive in Kerala, they will oppose it,” criticised VS.
Meanwhile, he raised sharp criticism against the central government. He alleged that the centre used to refuse the demands of the state government and mislead the public saying that the centre has given all the benefits to them.
Even children are aware of the central government’s cruel act to flood ravaged Kerala, added the CPM leader.
