Kottayam: Former Travancore Devaswom Board president and Congress leader G Raman Nair has hinted that he will join BJP after facing disciplinary action from his party. He had to face the disciplinary action from Congress for associating with BJP. Earlier, he had supported BJP’s stance in Sabarimala issue and had declared that he like to stand by the party.
G Raman Nair who is a KPCC executive committee member had inaugurated the hunger strike of BJP over Sabarimala women’s entry issue at Nilakkal. Following this, the AICC suspended him from the party.
“I haven't thought about joining BJP till now. But I will think on it if I get expelled from Congress. At present I am punished for responding on the Sabarimala issue. So I will join those who support my stance. If BJP supports me, I will definitely work along with them,” said G Raman Nair.
