Women’s commission says it has not received complaint against PK Sasi

Thiruvananthapuram: Women’s commission chairperson MC Josephine said that the commission will investigate the sexual harassment allegation against MLA PK Sasi, if the woman files a complaint. She declared that there is no need to take suo- moto case based on the allegation.

“The Women’s commission has not received complaint from the woman who raised molestation charges against MLA PK Sasi. The commission will probe the case if we receive a complaint,” said MC Josephine.

She noted that the political party and the women’s commission are different entities.

It is learned that the commission would not investigate the case in the absence of a complaint.

“If party received the complaint, they should decide whether it should be handed over to police or not. They have their own ways to handle such complaints,” said Josephine.

She asserted that Women’s commission would not intervene in the issue unless the victim raises the issue in public or file a complaint in police station. But she had not filed a complaint over the issue in any police station, added MC Josephine.
