Kochi: The Kerala High Court has imposed a set of restrictions on the private buses services in Kochi. Private buses are restricted from blowing horns in the city limits and overtaking other vehicles. The court also asked the private buses to always keep the left side of the road.

The High Court has given the directions to the police and Motor Vehicle Department to implement the restrictions. The court also pointed out that the restrictions will be applicable to autorickshaws too.

The court issued the directions while hearing a petition on the autorickshaw permit in Perumbavoor town. Observing the rash driving of private buses, the court asked the city police commissioner and MVD to take necessary action.

The court also asked the concerned departments to issue similar orders.
