Keala CM seeks permission to meet PM, President 


Thiruvananthapuram: Amid the growing protest against buffer zone demarcation, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has sought permission to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indian president Droupadi Murmu in Delhi. According to reports, the CM will fly to Delhi on Monday for participating in the politburo meeting scheduled on December 27 and 28.

The CM is expected to land in Delhi by Monday noon. Hence, he is planning to meet the PM on Monday.

So far, the Prime Minister’s office didn’t give an appointment to Pinarayi Vijayan after considering his request.

According to reports, various subjects including buffer zone, increase in borrowing limit and K-Rail will be discussed in the meeting with the PM.

Meanwhile, Kerala has been witnessing huge protests over buffer zone demarcation and its satellite survey report. Most people are demanding the centre’s intervention in the issue.

It is learnt that the CM will try to overcome the political pressure on K-Rail project during the meeting with the PM. Chief secretary VP Joy will also accompany the CM.
