Alappuzha: In an update to the row over CPM members allegedly watching nude videos in Kayamkulam, disciplinary action has been taken against two members of the party. Reportedly, a local committee member, who watched the nude visuals, and a female party member involved in the row, were suspended by the Puthuppally local committee on Friday night.
The screenshots of the committee member watching the nude visuals of the woman were widely circulated on the party’s social media groups. Also, criticisms were rife against appointing the member as the convener of the children’s theatre event ‘Venal Thumbikal’ in Puthuppally.
In addition, the party also suspended Bibin C Babu, vice-president of Alappuzha district panchayat and Kayamkulam area committee member, for six months on the domestic violence complaint lodged by his wife.
CPM state secretary MV Govindan had taken part in the district secretariat meeting the other day to resolve the issues within the party in Alappuzha.
